Pictures from Central Asia

I cannot believe how few pictures I took on this journey.  There was so much to see, so many cool photo options, but perhaps I found myself more taken up with the experience and so forgot to use the camera.  Also, there were quite a few places where I was not allowed to bring a camera in or use it.  Well, I gotta go with what I got... here they are.

This is a PDF of the Vatican passport.  I had to return it to the vatican and so mad bad xerox copies of the pages that were printed and used.  I used to love to show it to my very conservative parishoners who were very interested in telling me I was not in line with the church.. pointing out that the pope trusted me enough to issue the passport and make me a ambassadorial attache.  They hated it.

Almaty

This was the collection of homes and shacks that pretty much surrounded the church in Almaty, Kaz. Looking behind the most visible house begin the shacks and other dwellings where I got lost in the smoke during their meal prep time.  It went for quite a ways.

Tashkent

The meat market in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.  They raise both cattle and horses for meat.  It turns out, I rather enjoyed horse.
