Pictures from Central Asia
I cannot believe how few pictures I took on this journey. There was so much to see, so many cool photo options, but perhaps I found myself more taken up with the experience and so forgot to use the camera. Also, there were quite a few places where I was not allowed to bring a camera in or use it. Well, I gotta go with what I got... here they are.
This is a PDF of the Vatican passport. I had to return it to the vatican and so mad bad xerox copies of the pages that were printed and used. I used to love to show it to my very conservative parishoners who were very interested in telling me I was not in line with the church.. pointing out that the pope trusted me enough to issue the passport and make me a ambassadorial attache. They hated it. |
This was the collection of homes and shacks that pretty much surrounded the church in Almaty, Kaz. Looking behind the most visible house begin the shacks and other dwellings where I got lost in the smoke during their meal prep time. It went for quite a ways. |
The meat market in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. They raise both cattle and horses for meat. It turns out, I rather enjoyed horse. |
